Three weeks

Last night we celebrated 3 weeks of being together. We talked for ever listen to music and then Doug said get undress. Of course I did.... but we talked a little more. Yes we made love all night long we got little sleep and Doug was late to work.

Yesterday was a good day. After having breakfast with Doug and me running around doing a little things here in there. I went home to do laudry. Fun! Fun! (I hate it) Around three PM i plan to got to Mom's hangout with her and then stop by the Tune. Doug was doing his thing with his friends.
Then Mom called and the dinner that was suppose to be Sunday was really Saturday and so I told her that I would be over and the we could go to Bobby's. My brother were also there so we all went over and had a great time. All my cousins and uncle and aunt were there and the food was outstanding.
So after that we went back to Mom and then I went to the tune. I was a bit sleepy so I didn't hangout that long. In fact I was in bed by 9pm. Then it was Doug, telling me about his buddy that just got kick out of the bar and kicked out of his girlfriends place. Then he started talking about how he has strong feelings for me he he doesn't want to hurt me and how maybe this is going to fast. I said it is not just sex, and I know that is true because we do a lot of other things. He asked me to come over and stay the night with him. I then said it might not be a good idea. He said he wanted me there, so I jump out of bed and went to his place. I wanted to be with him and in his arms. He said that his bed smells like me and that makes him happy..So we tired to watch It's a Bug Life again. DIDN'T happen again. That movie for some reason turns us into sex machines. His tongue and lips drove me wild. We made love for a long time and then went to sleep. I woke up a couple hours later, with him rubbing on me and getting things started. WOW.. i know i am falling in love with him and I believe that he is also feeling the same.

What a nice way to start a day....

Doug and I attended a party last night, it was a Christmas party for the Hawk & Dove. It was nice and a lot of people in attendance. We got a plate and found our little spot downstairs near the fire place we had a chance to be a lone for a while. Then people started hanging out in the room. So we decided to go to the Tune to have a few drinks and listen to some music. Great time. We talk about our relationship it has only been 2 weeks so we are just going to see what happens. BUT we are not going to sleep with anyone else. So after our talking Doug started talking music with Phil and playing more music. Finally he was ready to go. So we went back to his place, got undressed and laid there talking. Then I started touch him, I wanted him. I wanted him bad, want to feel him inside me, but first he made love to me by kissing between my legs. Boy did he drive me crazy, that went on for a while and I love every minute of it. He took my breath away. Then he came up and put a pillow under my butt and enter me, wow that was awesome. Making love to him is always like the first time. We kissed and became one. We held each other as he gave me all his juice's and I gave him minds. We fell a love in each others arms. All night we moved we laid there with our bodies touching. That morning we laid in bed and I wanted to taste him and I did, and he gave me all of him. What a nice way to start the day. We went to our favorite place Starbucks for coffee and then Tune Inn for breakfast and then we had to get our day really started. A kiss good bye and a promise to talk later. I encourage him to hang out with his friends tonight. I didnt want to demand all his time. Tomorrow we are going to watch the game and then I am sure go back to his place of my place. He told me that he didn't want me to think that it was just sex between us, and I don't because we do a lot of other things. What a nice way to start a day.. :) Jules

I think I am falling in LOVE

Last night I went to Doug's he left the door open for me to come in and he was laying across the bed. I had warmed up chilly and we had a nice dinner. We laid across the bed and talk for a few and then we were going to watch a movie but the machine wasn't working. So we laid across the bed talking more and more. Then he came closer to me and kiss me and that is all she wrote. Making love with him seems new all the time.
It's two week that we have been seeing each other. It is great...

The National Christmas Tree

Things are going well with Doug and I........ Last night we decided to take the chance in this weather to see the tree. So we did and the National Christmas Tree was beautiful. We walked around to check out the state trees, but didn't really stay to see them all. It was freezing. Doug wanted to take me to a place in Virgina that he enjoyed eating at. It was great we just got there at closing, so we sat in the van and ate. Doug reads alot and it is very interesting listening to him speak. We have so much fun together and have plan a lot of things to do. He is what I want for Christmas....

Guess who showed up

I met Greg at the Hawk & Dove for beer and we sat and talked for hours, then I get a tap on the back and guess who it was. Yes Doug, boy was I surprise. Well what that hell could I do but to invite him to sit with us at the bar. I introduce him to Greg and we all sat there chatting. Boy was i sweating, shit I was sitting there have a great time with Greg and Doug appears. Anyway it was bad after all. I am not sure how to defined our relationship. Anyway after another hour or so, Greg had to leave. So Doug said how nice Greg was. Hold on Greg is a Commander in the Coast Guard and assign to headquarters.
Anyway Doug found us a place in the back with a nice fire place going and we sat there talking and drinking. We had a great evening.
Last night was fun, we just went to our regular watering hole and then decide to try and watch a movie at Doug's house. OK you see this is the 2rd weekend we attempted to watch this movie. Well I undress and he put the movie in and then undress and slipped in behind me. Well i was a good girl all of 5 minutes and then I started rubbing my butt on him( that drove him crazy), just moving my hip so slow and soft on him moaning and then he started kissing my back and neck and nice little bites. It was driving me crazy. I turned to face him and we started kissing and touching more, I was on fire and I know he was also. We made love for hours, after that he had to open the windows to let cool air in.
We fell a sleep after that, and this morning laid around in bed and then took a shower together and went to Starbucks for coffee. What a great way to start the day.
We are planning to go to the National Christmas tree tonight.

Yesterday was a OK day for a Monday, had trouble getting out of bed so I went in a little late.
Call and talk with Doug that morning, he told me how his day went with his mother, which was great as always. Then we made plans to talk later that evening.
Had my nails done and called Doug we got together for a drink and great conversation. We talk about things we wanted to see for the holidays. The National Christmas Tree, the Capitol Christmas Tree and Union Station decorations. He said he would help me put up a Christmas tree, so I guess that will be this weekend. Great. I really enjoy being with him. We hit it off from day one. So is this our 2rd date or 3rd, or does our first meeting count. Shit I just notice that he called me this morning and I missed it. Well I am sure he will call back. He called me and we talk while we were both on our way home last night that was night. He said something that sticks with me " I will never betray your trust", that was so nice to hear.

The Break Up Last night I went to Thai Roma to tell Felix that it was over that I am seeing someone else. He said that he figure something was going on with me. Well I didnt thing that it was a good idea to have him thinking that something was really going on with our relationshio and that he could move on. I really wasn't interested in him after our second date and put off seeing him for a week. This has nothing to do with Doug, because I am not sure how that is going to develope

Why do things happen this way

Wednesday night I went to the Tune Inn to get a bite to eat. The snow was just slowing down. There were a few of my friends inside, Patrick, Sean, Dan (my neighbor) Mat the bar tender and another Dan. We all sat around talking and doing a few shots. When i look down the bar and there was a guy sitting there listening to his ipod. After a few more drinks I got myself together to talk to him. He said that a friend had download a few tones for him and he was checking them out. Well needless to say that led a a great 2 or 3 hour conversation. He is the same age as I, lives in DC about 3 miles from me and divorce no kids. AND the pretties blue eyes, his name is Doug. We exchange number and decide to call it a night. He asked me if he could walk me to my car and of course the answer was yes. Then I drove him to his vehicle and we sat and talk for another 20mins. Then the kiss came, boy if you can kiss I am yours. Well needless to say i was a good girl and went home. He said he wanted to see me again and I said yes.
So Thursday he called to say that he went to bed and woke up thinking of me and what a nice evening it was. We made plan for Friday night and said good bye.
Friday evening came and we met had a few drinks at the Tune Inn and went off to dinner. We held hand and kiss doing dinner and talk for ever. So of course we decide to go back to his place and watch a movie and have a few beers. Well of course the movie never happen and we made love all night and listen to music. We went to sleep in each others arms and woke up the next morning for round 3 or 4 of love making. Wow is all I can say. He made coffee and we listen to more music and talked. We are suppose to see each other tonight.
So why does these things happen this way, I am suppose to be dating Felix, but I really enjoy being with Doug. Just waking up to someone holding me was very nice.
This week I am going to hangout with Greg. I met him just before I went away to Belize, he works on the hill also as Doug does, and he make his own beer.

The First Snow...........

Wow I woke up to snow. It really wasn't that bad a lite dusting on my car. So I went to work to clear up a few things and then got a ton of work and went home. Boy these people can't drive. All you have to do is slow down and take it easy. 8 hours later and it is still snowing, just about a inch on the side walks, the streets are pretty clear. May it;s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

The Question IS?

Someone asked me the other day if I was still seeing the rich older man now that I am seeing Felixe? The answer to that questions is yes. This thing with the rich older guy is just keeping him company and have a dinner companion. There is nothing sexual with the rich guy, just friends. So I am allowed to keep my friends, don't you think...

This is something

This was the first time Felix and I had a chance to get together this week. Monday I got together with my neice for some girl time, nails, feet, and waxing evening. Then pizza and talking.

Last night we got together for dinner and drinks at Thai Roma, it was a nice evening just sitting and talking and sharing our week. He asked me what i wanted for Christmas, but I couldn't think of anything. Then he asked if I wanted a diamond ring, a engagement ring. I just couldn't believe it. I told him that it was to soon to talk about that, we haven't dated a week yet. He just smile and said OK. He did tell me earlier that day that he thinks he is falling in love with me.

I like him a lot but taking things slow.

This up coming Saturday he has invited me to a event at his church, so we will have a chance to see each other. I am looking foward to it. He also wants to sit around later and cuddle and kiss and then kiss me all over. That sounds like a great plan. :)

Meet Felix Abrams

This is the new man in my life. We are taking things slow and seeing what happens.

He is 54 years old,, 6'3, Director of Medicine, from Texas, living in Northwest DC.

He is a cowboy's fan (but that's ok it take it interesting), nice guy who laugh's at my jokes. He talks just as much as I do and just a nice guy.

What start out as breakfast

Felixe and I met that morning for breakfast, it was so nice to see his face and how happy he was to see me. He greeted me with a kiss. That was even nicer. We had breakfast and great conversation. Then he wanted to go with me to Eastern Market so I could buy groves. We held hands and talk for hours. The next thing u know we end up at Folger's Shakespear Library. That was nice, i love history and after all these years living in DC. I have never been there.
We spent the rest of the day together watching college football and most of the night.
The next day he went to his church and I went to my church then we met for lunch and football.
Check this out this guy is from Texas and a Cowboys fan and he drives a blue honda ( is this a joke someone is playing on me or what).
So things are going good for us so far, he invited me to a event at his church next saturday and of course I said yes. I enjoy his company.

OK last night was the first meeting, blind date, see if we click, see if we like each other.
Rudy my German buddy wanted me to meet a friend of his. So we met at Tyroma a local bar restaurant on the hill. He was there when i got there, he was a nice looking man of 54 years old, a little gray in his short blond hair, tall slim, glasses. He lives in Northwest DC. We had a great time, he did a lot of talking, he told me that he is divorce with 2 grown kids and a grandson "JP". He try's to visit them a couple times a year. They all live in Texas.
At the end of the night was the hug and quick peck on the lips. AND then came the big kiss, I didn't know if it would happen,but I think we were thinking the same way. Wow what a kiss, I didn't want it to stop. Kissing is my favorite thing to do!
OH Yeah,,, we are meeting for breakfast at 9am, at the Tune Inn, my favorite place.
Well I better get dress. I feel like a little kids, i can't wait to see him again.

Shit Happens.. and you go on!!!!
I started my morning with the alarm clock screaming at me at 1:45am. I jump to my feet and head for the shower. Boy was i still sleepy, i didn't sleep well , only got 2hours sleep. Buy the time i got my act together,well some what it was 2:45 and the taxi was due to arrive at 3. So then the phone rang and it was my driver, i told him i would be out in 5mins., mind u I was standing there in my underwear, trying to put a little heat to my cargo pants.
The taxi ride was good of course no cars on the road at 3:05am to National airport. For some reason i decide to make sure i had my door keys, so i check my pockets-NO KEYS, jacket-NO KEYS, carry on bag and small suit case-NO KEYS... Oh my GOD did i leave them at home, maybe in the front door. I couldn't call my neighbor so early so I wait until boarded the plane and called her about 7am. Man the 3minutes it took her to check seem like 3 hours. She found my keys laughing she told me there they were in the top lock of my apartment door. HAPPY DAY.

Arrival
I arrived in Belize around 1145, took a taxi it start to rain by the time we left the airport but quickly stop by the time he drop me off at the water taxi terminal $18.50us taxi ride. After getting my ticket for the tip to Caye Caulker, I was hungry and ready for a little Belizean food. So I found a little place in town and had red snapper, rice &beans..GOOD GOOD GOOD!
Walking back to the water taxi things really hasn't change in 2 years. The weather is warm and people are friendly.
The ride to Caye Caulker took about 45mins. the water was beautiful and he sun was so bright and warm. It was nice. The women next to me was cold so I gave her my wrap, we started talking and she started telling me about tonight's Bingo at the local bar "Ocean Side." I told her about my previous trips to Belize and I wanted to see my friend that own Rasta Pasta. Sad news it is closed for remodeling.
Check in time.. will it is off season so I didn't have to make reservation before i got there, so the one place i stayed the 1st years i was there Albert's was full, so I tried Topic, they had a room for me. $25bz, which is $12.50us. Hot and cold running water with my own bath..Outstanding!
Later that evening for dinner I found my friend Jolly Roger who has a new place were he sells fresh grill lobster, whole grill snapper, or grill chicken. Oh course I had the lobster..It was great, we chatted for a while and he told me about his new son, 10 mouth old. He also caught me up on some of the happenings on the island. I met a few more people that sat down to get a bite to eat and then off to Oceanside for bingo.
Surprise my new friend was there, her name is Marion and her boyfriend and Paula she introduce me to. Well our night went like this we never won at bingo but after 5 shots of tequila's and i not sure how many beer ,who the hell cares.. We never won at Bingo, but we had a great time.


Well I had to go to bed and get ready for my day of snorkeling and manatee watch.

A day on the water
Waking up at the crack of dawn and a little hung over was hard but so worth it. Nothing a hot cup of Joe can't make better.
We board the boat a E-Z Boy tours and was off to sea. It was a 45 minute ride to Swallow Caye's, the Manatee's live there. We sat there for about 15mins before the first sighting. We had to cut the motor when we got into the area and or Captain guided the boat by pole. We saw about 10 Manatee and they also look as if they were happy to see us. I took picture but they didn't come out to well.
Snorkeling was just breath taking, the reef's and fish were outstanding. I love the water and what beauty it has to offer.
By the time we got back to Caye Caulker I was ready for a hot shower and a nap and that is just what I did. A 2 hour nap did me good and I was ready to enjoy the evening. Lobster for dinner at Jolly Roger's beach side grill. I met Roger and his wife on 2 years ago, so we caught up of things and had a great dinner. Lobster was mouth watering. I love lobster! They i walked along the beach to the beach side Sport Bar (that's it name).. There were a few Belikin beer's with my name on it. I met a nice man from Canada there, we have a great conversation.

A day of rest
Boy did I need it...... I put on my bathing suit, got my book, my blanket, bottle water, sunblock and fruit and headed for the beach (75 yards from where I am staying).
That evening I hosted a beach party with some old friends and new friends and Rum & Coke..
I got a couple of the shop owners to close early and we party-ed in the sand. Island music, sand under our feet, Rum, Rum, Rum and coke.... What a night. Even Miss Paula and Miss Juanita had a few drinks after their Bible study. Wow what a bad influenced I am.. lol lol

Day Trip

I decided to take a trip to Belize city to walk around more and do a little shopping. Nothing really has change there.
SATURDAY NIGHT----Ocean Side bar- karaoke, that was fun... Yes i did sing, infact 3 maybe 4 songs. A little Anita Baker and Jimmy Buffet....


SAN PEDRO, AMBERGRIS CAYES.........
This was another boat trip to a beautiful island. I rented a golf cart to do a little touring and shopping. I was later approached by a guy that invited me for a time sharing tour of Captain Morgan Resorts. It was a beauty place but to much money for me. I was given $100bz/$50us and all the rum punch I could drink and free lunch for attending the tour. So what the hell. I made a little money.lolol

After my day trip I hung out with friends, had dinner and drinks.

Garifuna Settlement Day In Belize
Dandriga, Belize

Water taxi to Belize city, 2 hour bus ride to Dandriga and I am ready for the day.
Awesome day, drum ceremony was outstanding. Big street parade with everyone dancing and performing in the native dress. The town was on fire.
There was a taxi driver wanted to charge me $40us to take me to Hopkin and other village where the night time celebration was, then a lady told me that I could take to local bus for $2us. and that was were she was going. So I hung out with her and her family we caught the bus and then a friend of hers gave us a ride the rest of the way there.
Then I found a place to stay that is owned by a American woman for New York. This place was great, it reminded me of a old country home that is on the beach. It was the best, I wish I had more time to stay. She is very interesting woman salt and pepper hair, her common law husband AB, is a Belizean man who had been celebrating for 5 day, when I came back to the home later he was passed out on the beach drunk (more power to him). Anyway a group of the guest were sitting around the kitchen table trading story and I joined in. It was after 3am when I called it a night.

Nov. 20, 2007,
I had about a 3 hour trip back to Caye Caulker in the morning. So half a sleep I started on my way with a 25 minute bus ride to Dangriga, then 2 hours bus ride to Belize City and then finally a 45mins., boat ride to Caye Caulker. Most of te day I hung out with friends on the beach drinking Belikin Beer.
My last night was a little low key, I went to Oceanside Bar with a few friends hung out and had a few drinks, then said our good bye. To be honest with you, if the holiday wasn't that week I would have stayed a little longer.

Mike Rest In Peace My Friend

I truly don't know what to say, but today I got a phone call from Stefan saying Mike had pasted away. Mike's roommate found him Saturday and they believe he has been dead a couple of days. The cause of death is not yet known. Stefan said he's been calling Mike all weekend but no answer and his roommate was out of town until Saturday. When Stefan told me all I could say is oh no, oh no, oh my God not Mike. Then the tears started and wouldn't stop. I was driving when I got the phone call. I am still in shock I can't believe it. We were all just together having dinner and then watching USC game in Dupont Circle. At the beginning of the summer we all went to San Francisco for a week and then before that the gangs 2 or 3rd trip to Richmond to for the weekend, hanging out with Scottie. We the gang were together for New Years and were planning our trip to Dublin next summer for rugby.
Oh Mike I love you, you were like a brother to me. Never letting me buy dinner,cab ride, drinks when we all would hung out. You were a true gentalmen. You always told me that you thought I was so special how I never judge anyone and how cool it was that I would hangout with the him, Stefan, Scottie and Chuck at the local gay clubs. Mike I never once was a shame of our friendship and was proud to be your friend.
Know that I will be here for Stepfen. I remember when he met you and I remember when he told me that he was in love with you. You guys look so happy together.

I am going to miss you. Rest in peace my brother. Being a christian I know I will see you again.

I am so ready for this

A few more days before I leave for Belize, and boy I need it. I have to have a few shots today, Hepatitis A, Typhoid and yellow fever. I am told by a friend to get ready to feel like shit the rest of the day. Of course I am not looking forward to this. Oh well better safe then sorry.

Later Friday evening:
I am not feeling my best, but it isn't that bad.
Bill wanted to see me before I left town so we had a nice dinner at 701. They also had a piano player for dancing so we did a few slow turns around the floor. And YES I WAS LOOKING HOT.. He like to have a hot young ebony princess on his arm. (OK call me Ann Nicole) Later that night I hooked up with friends for a little more drinks. I didn't get in the house last night until after 2am. Wow was I drunk off my ass.

Saturday, 11am
I am just getting my drunk ass out of bed. I have a ton of things to do and I should have been up and out by now. Oh well!!!!!
Tomorrow is the big game Skin V Philly.. we are playing at home so it is going to be a long day for me. It will be nice to have another win. Philly fans are nasty people, I feel sorry for the police officers and security in the stand because those asshole will be fight all day.

It is just nice

A few months ago, I attended a black tie affair, for a art opening in Washington, DC. I belong to The Young Benefactors of the Smithsonian. Well anyway I talked to a lot of people that night it was over 300 people in attendance. Two days later I received a phone call from one of my friends that this gentlemen wanted to know more about me and that he left his phone number for me. A couple of days later I gave him a call. We had a pleasant conversation and agree to have dinner the next evening. We met at Jenny a nice restaurant on the water front in Southwest,DC. We had a very nice evening, the conversation was great, he has season tickets to the Redskins ( and I work for the Redskins) so we talked about football and other sports, traveling and just everything. Bill owns a corporation in Virgina, so we talked about. He is a well traveled and well educated man. He has lots of money. You know some people just smell of money, well Bill smells of it. After the dinner he walked me to my car and then I drove him to his car, I asked him which car was his and of course it was the Mercedes, what a beautiful car. He called me later on that evening to make sure I made it home ok and tell me that he really enjoyed the evening with me and would like to see me again. I said that would be nice. The next day he gave me a call and we met two days later for lunch. He asked me why I wasn't dating anyone, I told him that I really not looking to date anyone right now, that I haven't had a great relationship history in the last year. I asked him what was going on with him and what was he looking for with me. He said that he was taken away with my beauty and intelligences, when we first met and my smile and wanted to get to know me better. He wanted he wanted a beautiful women to spent time with and his time is limited with running a corporation. In the last month in a half we have had dinner at the finest restaurants in DC, Jenny's, DC Coast, 701, Cyldes in Rockville, just to name a few.
You see Bill is about 65 years old, he has kids almost my age. He is a very good looking older white male with fine taste in life. We have a great time together and there has been nothing physical between us, just a hug and a kiss on the cheek at the end of the evening. It is just nice to be treated like a princess every once in a while, too dine in the finest restaurants, have someone open the door for you, telling you nice things and want to know about your day. Every phone conversation starts with good morning beautiful.
He is a nice friend.

It's not just cold outside, but it is cold in here!

My first cold night in October.
As my dear friend Phillip pointed out it is October, and yes I know, but I had to wear PJ's to bed last night. That is not something I enjoy doing. As I snuggle into my bed last night at about 1145 with 3 blankets (2 of which my mother made, Thanks Mom) and my PJ's on, all I could think about is a conversation I had with a girlfriend a minutes ago on line about the men in your lives. Sure I could have ask one of them to come over and keep me warm( and I am sure they would broke all speed limits to get next to this brown sugar), but all I wanted is a little warmth. So I did what any sleepy and cold woman would do, I broke out 3 blanket's, my PJ's and a space heater, AND I slept like a baby.
14 days until Belize and you can bet your sweet ass I won't be sleeping in PJ's. :)

It is a staff group within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs (OASD/RA), which is in itself a part of the Office of the Secretary of Defense.It was created to inform employers of the ever-increasing importance of the National Guard and Reserve and to explain the necessity for - and role of - these forces in national defense. ESGR seeks to gain and reinforce the support of America's employers for a strong National Guard and Reserve system. We as a group of volunteer inform employer the importance of maintaining there reservist job when they are deployed and insure that there job will be there when they return to work.

I hung out with 4 of my best male friends ( Stefan, Mike, Scott, Chuck) The are members of the Renagade Rugby team of Washington,DC. We were hosted by Stefan's parents who live in Berkley, Ca. At one point after a day of playing rugby we all fell a sleep in one bed and i was laying in the middle of 4 guys, wow every women fantasy, well hold on girls stop calling me a bitch, these guys are gay, but hot gay rugby players, but want is so special about them, they are great guys, and we have been friends for a couple of years now and I love them and love hanging out with them.

My Road to Belize November 14-21, 2007

I can't wait what a beautiful country.

The love affair started about 5 years ago in the middle of February. I was in my favorite pub ( Tune Inn) on a sunday evening having a burger and a beer with my good friend Markie. I was telling her that I really needed to get somewhere warm and sunny. You see I had been working midnights for 2 month straight and was in need of sun, fun and hot weather. Just when I said that a tall slim middle 40's man came in a sat down next to Markie to tell her about his latest adventure to Belize. As we sat there in awe of the adventure that he just return from less then 24 hours ago. Markie turned looked at me and started to say Jules and then I cut her off and said, "that is what I need". So after talking to Markie's friend George and spending many Sunday evenings with George and his story and pictures of Belize I was on my way that next month.


Ian Anderson Cave Branch Jungle Adventure (my first trip to Belize)
Wow what a adventure Caves Branch.com was breath taking. 58,000 acres estate beneath a 100 foot rainforest's canopy, alongside the turquoise waters of the Cave Branch River. Tropical jungle, indigenous animals and plant life.

Caye Caulker (my 2rd trip to Belize) My Favorite place
Laid back and slow pace!!! YES YES YES

Sand and Sun: Located one mile west of Belize Barrier Reef, Caye Caulker is a a four mile long island, part of a chain of islands forming the Belize Barrier Reef. Caye Caulker has a relaxing atmosphere with white sand streets, golf carts for transportation, and casual dress with no shoes. The weather is usually quite pleasant year around. You can enjoy sailing, diving, birding, jungle tours, fishing, and windsurfing in the clear azure waters of the Caribbean. The diving is incredible, a whole world awaits you. Our local tour guides can arrange trips to see manatees, jungle trips up the rivers of the mainland, where you will see orchids, bromeliads, cactus, a variety of birds, monkeys, bats and other wildlife. For visitors interested in bird watching, you will likely see green Aztec parakeets, Ringed Kingfishers and tropical Mocking birds, there are hundreds of varieties.
The laid back atmosphere of Caye Caulker is something you must see to appreciate. There are over 30 hotels, and many restaurants and shops, but Caye Caulker remains friendly and easy-going, avoiding the commercialism of other destinations. Shoes are a no no, and the golf cart mode of transportation is unique and fun. You can get all over the island very easily by boat, golf cart, or bike.

I also went to Guatemala for a few days of hiking in Tikal. What a handsome city.Unforgettable morning visit to Tikal. Settled in 700 B.C., Tikal became the grandest of all Mayan cities and is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. This outer-worldly site also served as the victorious rebel base in the first Star Wars movie. Here, while the sounds of monkeys and tropical birds fill the air, you will see towering pyramids jut out of the rainforest canopy. Visit Tikal’s great plaza. See the Temple of the Grand Jaguar and Temple II. Visit the Plaza of the Seven Temples and El Mundo Perdido, the Lost World. Enjoy lunch. Afternoon at leisure at your resort. Enjoy bird watching on the nature trails or just relax by the pool. Dinner

November 19th - Garifuna Settlement Day in Belize!
Settlement Day Festival: Celebrations in the southern most areas of the country to mark the first arrival of the Garifuna in 1832 in Dangriga.
The Garifuna (pronounced Ga-RIF-una), or Black Caribs, are a unique cultural and ethnic group. They first appeared in this area over 300 years ago, when escaped and shipwrecked slaves mixed with the native Caribs who had given them refuge on Saint Vincent Island. The Garifuna adopted the Carib language but kept their African musical and religious traditions, against the demands of the island's colonial masters. In 1795 the Garifuna people rebelled against the British; the Crown punished them for their insolence by deporting them to the island of Roatán, off Honduras. In the years that followed, the Garifuna slowly established villages on islands and along the coasts of southern Belize, Guatemala, and northern Honduras.

The best-known dive bar on Capitol Hill is perfect for getting away from politics.
When I moved to Capitol Hill about 4 years ago, the Tune Inn was one of the first places I really got to know. I have taken family there to see my hangout, well sometimes my second home. I have met great people there. When my friends come in from out of town I always take them there.
The Tune is where on any given day or night there is someone in there that you know. It is a great neighborhood, bar with dead animals on the wall and TV's on sports and sometimes CNN. Cheap burgers and beer and great conversation and lots of laugh...... Come by sometimes !!!
That's were I'll be tomorrow night watching the Red Sox--DAVID ORTIZ, oh baby.......

William Ray Patterson, Sr. (my dad) pasted away 6 years ago, September 29, 2001

Dad a proud man pasted away 6 years ago this month from lung cancer ( he was a smoker). Boy I miss him everyday, he was a loving, funny,quite man, that loved his wife, his kids and God.



At the time of his death, mom and dad were married a little over 44 years and to that union they had 5 loving kids. William Jr (Billy), Terina, Julie, Reginald, and Ronald.



HE sang in the church choir and was often heard sing in the basement of our family home. Dad love BBQ's he was the grill master and often would invite family and friend over for a burger or chicken on the grill. He also enjoyed gardening (so do I), traveling, fishing, day trips with the family, setting on the front porch talking with mom, and the neighbors, driving, his pickup truck, reading and playing his numbers. He was a man that love to read the news paper and keep up on world events. He also loved sports. I think he watched every sport, but bass fishing.

The last conversation we had was about the Washington Redskins. Later that night he slipped into a comma and then we let him go a week later. Boy that was hard, but he is in a better place and being a Christian, I know I will see him again. Daddy I love you and miss you so much.
